she says

A little experiment. Best to view larger, silent a little while, but there is audio.

At Penland I was reminded my camera has video. Though access to only basic editing software and basic knowledge limits me severely, I am pleased with the results . . .I think. . .

audio of a loom in action to play with would be good though the story would change.

curious to know what you think. what you might change, what you like.

Erin, i love how your obsession with powerlines led you to this experiment. something clicked for me as i'm watching this. had to view it many times to finally catch all the words- can't decide if the blurriness of the text was distracting/frustrating or because of it, i felt it more? the audio flows perfectly with the streaming/converging/diverging of the lines. the buzzing started in my head and made its way into the center of my being. it's sad, sad, Erin. i won't be seeing powerlines the same way again. nor hear the buzzing of a wasp, birds the same either...

Mien, this is a video I am still unsure of, but I definitely wanted the text to not overtake the imagery, I just reposted it so it can be read more easily so I'd be interested to know if the subtlety is lost for you.
In any case I am glad to know it touched you. It was a hard piece to work on late late at night.
Have a response to your promise spoons (his and his) written down somewhere I'll dig it out soon.

dear Erin...i don't get tired from watching this...sad but peaceful and soothing at the same time...have you changed the color a bit? it feels warmer...i like it.
having seen the text made more prominent, i wish for it to be more subtle...same as before but maybe just lingering longer so i can have more time to make out the text?...sorry i am being Goldilocks...

thinking of the precious things you have shared and wishing i could touch them. your puppet doll's head is eerie and i love her long braids. awhile ago i had been trying to make a braided hair spoon head. unsuccessful attempts lying around. wonder what you are making these days...love your little basket.
...and anxious for tomorrow's results too!! x
